Last week, we opened early access to the Tyto Authoring Studio
—our next chapter: an authoring platform that enables partners to build authentic, empowering, deeply pedagogical learning quests.
As part of this transition, we’re beginning the process of shutting down our classic Tyto Online experience this week (week of September 15, 2025)
. If you’re an active Tyto Online subscriber, your subscription has been canceled and we’ve issued a refund for your most recent charge (you should see it within 7–10 days)

Tyto Online has been a labor of love. Thank you to every student, family, and educator who explored with us—you shaped what comes next. While there’s no consumer-facing app right now
, the future of Tyto will arrive through partner-built experiences made with Tyto Authoring Studio.

Tyto Online showed us how powerful authentic, real-world learning can be. To scale impact, we’re moving to a partner-driven model with Tyto Authoring Studio—so publishers, curriculum creators, and workforce orgs can build and ship experiences at scale.

Access & timeline: Tyto Online access winds down during the week of Sept 15.
Refunds: We’ve processed refunds for the most recent subscription charge; funds typically appear in 7–10 days.
Data & privacy: We’ll retire accounts following shutdown, with plans to retain a backup of data for potentially a new version of the consumer-facing app in the future.
Consumers: There is no direct-to-consumer product at this time.
